This village is one of the villages in Bali which has a regular arrangement of the traditional village structure, a fusion of traditional structure with many open spaces of beautiful landscaping make this village makes us the Balinese in the past. Physical layout and structure of the village could not be separated from the culture that were held by Indigenous communities Penglipuran and cultural communities have also been accepted for generations.


Besakih temple















The Mother Temple of Besakih, or Pura Besakih, in the village of Besakih
on the slopes of Mount Agung. in eastern Bali, is the most important,
the largest and holiest temple of Agama Hindu Dharma in Bali., Indonesia and
one of a series of Balinese temples.
The temple probably dates to the fourteenth century. It was built on the south
slopes of Mount Agung, the principal volcano of Bali. The temple is actually
a complex made up of twenty-two temples that sit on parallel ridges.
It has stepped terraces and flights of stairs which ascend to a number of
courtyards and brick gateways that lead up to the main spire Meru structure,
which is called Pura Penataran Agung.


Sidemen village








One of the greatest place in Bali that has strong spiritual aura is Sidemen Valley that located at Karangasem East Bali regency. Many temples of Hindu Bali, the majority religion of Balinese people, located in this village. This village located at the valley, sorround of many hill and most of the area is a paddy fields that irigate by Subak, the Balinese traditional water system for ricefield. The housing area separated with the field area, the housing area located at the right side from the road, and the field area located at the left side, that make this village very unique.

Village District Pesinggahan Dawan, Klungkung is the center of Pura Segara in Bali to 
worship God as Lord of the Sea.


Kerthagosa
















Kertagosa is a complex of ancient buildings which was founded in the reign of the first 
Klungkung king, Dewa Agung Jambe, in the 17th century.
Kertagosa buildings in the ancient times has several functions, among which are: 
(1) as the place of the hearing, led by the king as supreme judge, 
(2) as a meeting place for kings in Bali, and 
(3) as a place to perform ceremonies Manusa Yadnya or cutting teeth (mepandes) 
for the king's sons.
